The 2025-26 IIAN leaders were elected and sworn in on Oct. 9 during the annual convention, which marked the beginning of their one-year terms.
Your new IIAN leadership includes President Jon Hongsermeier, AIP, of Adams Insurance Advisors in North Platte, Vice President Kelly Brink, AIP, of Dodge Partners in Omaha, and Secretary-Treasurer Luke Meier of Resolve Insurance in Omaha.
Jon Hongsermeier, AIP, has been a producer with Adams Insurance Advisors since 2015.
He is highly involved in Big “I" Nebraska and has held leadership roles in multiple facets of our association. Hongsermeier served as President of the IIAN Foundation from 2020-2023 and chaired the New Talent Task Force from 2019-2023. He chaired the Nextgen young agents' group in 2021 and serves as an Ambassador with our Legislative Advisory Council.
Jon has been recognized by IIAN as Young Agent of the Year in 2021 and Committee Chairman of the Year in 2020. He earned the “Top of Class" award as part of the Elite Force Sales Academy in 2017.
Jon was named a 2022 winner of the Insurance Business America “Rising Stars" award, a national award for young agents age 35 or under, who are committed to a career in insurance with a clear passion for the industry.
From his agency's perspective, Hongsermeier is consistently a top performer when it comes to new business production and retention. He spearheaded his agency's objective to become a regional broker by building successful books of business in Colorado and Oklahoma. As a result, Hongsermeier was named Adams Insurance Advisors' “Producer of the Year" in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
“I'm looking forward to continuing to advocate for the independent channel, member agencies, and our consumers as we continue to tackle the challenges of the hard market," Jon said. “I will focus on the topics most important to our members such as legislative advocacy, talent recruitment, education, and technology."
Kelly Brink, AIP, has been a producer with Dodge Partners Insurance since 2018. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State College in 2009, where he majored in Exercise Science.
Over the years, Kelly has served on the IIAN Board of Directors, chaired the Young Agents Committee, and was named IIAN Young Agent of the Year in 2022. He is also a graduate of the Elite Force Sales Academy and has participated in multiple trips to Washington, D.C. for the National Legislative Conference.
Luke Meier's interest in the insurance and financial planning industry began on the family farm in central Nebraska. After graduating from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2005 with a degree in Communication (Economics minor), Luke began his career in financial services with Ameritas. After 4 years as a financial planner, Luke expanded his products & services offering by joining Farm Bureau Financial Services as a sub-agent in 2009, where he worked in personal lines, farm/ranch, and commercial lines, in addition to financial planning. In 2019, Luke founded Resolve Insurance as a scratch agency based in Omaha. Resolve focuses on personal lines and life insurance planning but also offers commercial lines. The agency has grown to employ 3 full-time team members.
Luke joined the NAIFA-Omaha Board of Directors in 2019, and chaired NAIFA-Omaha's Young Agent Team from 2020-2023. Luke continues to be an active NAIFA member and was a graduate of NAIFA's Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) Class of 2023. Resolve Insurance has been an IIAN member agency since the agency's founding in 2019. Luke joined the IIAN Board of Directors in 2024 and attended the 2025 Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. Luke is passionate about advocacy, particularly from the perspective of smaller agencies. He believes that smaller agencies are the lifeblood of our industry, and he wants them to thrive in NE for years to come, despite the unique challenges they face.
Luke and his wife Haley live in Elkhorn and have 4 children ranging in age from kindergarten to high school, all of whom attend Elkhorn Public Schools. Luke enjoys an occasional round of golf when his kids' schedules allow, and he coaches football for Elkhorn Middle School.
Two new IIAN Board members were elected, including Mitch Florea of Nebraska Bankers Insurance & Services Co. (NBISCO) in Lincoln, and Justin "Jake" Tollman of Beef State Agency, LLC, in Crawford.
Congratulations to our officers and we're excited for another great year of Big "I" events and programs!
