The Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska Board of Directors and the IIAN Foundation Board each met over the last week, paving the way for the future of the Association.
The IIAN Board met at Lied Lodge in Nebraska City July 14 and 15, where they discussed the Association's goals and created IIAN's 2024 Strategic Plan, with help from facilitator Marit Peters of Independent Insurance Agents of Texas. We even had some fun along the way by solving a Wild West murder mystery at the historic Arbor Lodge mansion!
Prior to the meeting, the Board members and IIAN staff each took a Kolbe instinctive strengths assessment to learn more about each other and how the group can work best together. Peters shared the results with each individual near the beginning of the strategic planning process. Kolbe measures one’s instinctive way of doing things and their conative strengths in four categories: Fact Finder, Follow Thru, Quick Start and Implementor.
The Board then developed IIAN’s three-year vision and answered the question, “If we were sitting here in 2024, what would have to happen for us to be happy about our progress?” They identified strategic priorities in areas of talent, technology and more.
This week, the IIAN Foundation Board and New Talent Task Force met at Inspro in La Vista on July 20 to plan for the next three years of the Talent Network Program.
The success factors they identified include digital marketing, CareerPlug adoption, continuing college partnerships and training new hires.
We are excited to continue helping our members with recruiting, hiring and training new talent as well as attracting college students to careers in the independent agency system!
