27th Jacupke Golf Tournament Sees Largest-Ever Turnout

pregamecrowd.jpgThe 27th Annual IIAN Golf Tournament last Thursday was a success, with a sold-out event and beautiful weather!

There were nearly 150 players participating in an amazing day of golf, prizes and camaraderie, while raising $24,000 for the IIAN Foundation's college outreach and scholarships.

followthru.jpgWhile at the event, golfers could enter a raffle to support the IIAN Foundation for a chance to win a Kansas City Royals Triple Crown Suite package, compliments of our Industry Partner, Imperial PFS.

The names drawn as the raffle winners were Matt Brei, Jenna Jacupke and Ron Winquest. Each of these winners will receive suite tickets to the Sept. 24 Kansas City Royals game, a parking pass and a catered meal.

In addition, foursomes had the opportunity to donate $20 to the IIAN Foundation and move up 325 yards for a closer shot at the longest hole of the course. Thank you to all who contributed!

The best scoring teams of golfers won prizes as well! In the first flight, first place went to Sean McGowan’s team with a score of 57.  The second and third place teams both scored 58, which were “Team Thompson” and Todd Anderson’s team.

In the second flight, three teams scored 64. The first prize went to Aaron Rood’s team, second went to Tom Greco’s team and third went to Craig Marmie’s team.

The course featured a variety of pin prize challenges for individual players – the winners are listed below:

This annual golf tournament was named in memory of Jay Jacupke, CPCU, who was associated with Ellerbrock-Norris Agency in Hastings. Jay served in many association capacities, including Secretary-Treasurer in 1995. Jay lost his heroic battle with cancer in 1996 at the age of 44.

Thank you all for participating in this year’s event and supporting the college outreach program. Your contributions will aid the IIAN Foundation's efforts to usher in the next generation of workers to the insurance industry!
